I’ve been in your shoes if you’re just starting college, first generation graduate, or don’t know what you want to do in life. That’s apart of your journey, so don’t feel like you’re the only person who is or have gone through this.
When you exit high school, you become an adult but some of us are unprepared for adulthood, so we may procrastinate or do just a little to get by. This means that we know we are capable of greatness but we just choose not to push ourselves to connect to our higher selves.
In high school and preceding years in school we had to function as minors and were under the care of authority who supervised us. In college it’s different, you’re admitted to gain universal knowledge and skills. Which means you have to change your mindset in order to get the best out of your college experience.
Focus on handling your business because even though your in school, paying tuition, it’s revenue earned. That’s why you can get a tax benefit for your scholarship because you are going in the direction of developing economics. So do yourself a favor and take your job seriously, become a boss of your student culture and affairs. Make decisions that best suite your business or occupation goals, don’t waste your time if you’re not sure. Don’t even let the advisers consult you into taking classes you aren’t sure about because you’ll be wasting your money, not theirs. Understand that you are a client of the school you attend and that you’re doing business.
In conclusion though, just do you! Properly plan and be active, so that you can ultimately find your passion and stay on top of your business.
